Hi, I’m Austin Coyer, a photographer and visual artist based in West Michigan. For over five years, I’ve been working professionally behind the camera, capturing stories through portraits, events, products, and brand photography. My work has taken me from documenting intimate personal moments to creating images that help businesses connect with their communities.
What started as a passion for exploring the world through a lens has grown into a career built on curiosity, craft, and connection. I’ve had the privilege of working with local businesses, artists, and organizations across West Michigan, each project teaching me something new about the power of imagery. Whether it’s the personality in a portrait, the energy of an event, or the unique details that make a product or space stand out, my goal is always the same: to create photos that feel authentic, intentional, and alive.
Photography, to me, is more than a service — it’s a practice of presence. The camera gives me a reason to slow down and notice, to frame the details most people might walk past. Over the years, I’ve come to see my work as a bridge between people and their surroundings, a way of fostering connection not only to each other but also to the natural world we’re part of.
My worldview is rooted in curiosity, compassion, and presence. I believe that creativity isn’t about chasing perfection, but about showing up honestly with what’s in front of us. Each photo I take is shaped by that belief: that every moment, no matter how small, carries its own kind of meaning if we take the time to see it.
